A Quick NPK Refresher
The three numbers on any plant food are its NPK ratio: the percentages of Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium. Nitrogen (N) drives green, leafy growth. Phosphorus (P) builds roots, flowers, and fruit. Potassium (K) regulates water, strengthens cells, and builds resilience.

Where the Nutrients Actually Come From
Grow Queen is formulated from more than 18 sustainably sourced ingredients. Each one is chosen because it delivers real nutrition in a form the soil can process. Here is what is doing the work behind the numbers.
Nitrogen (the N)
Comes from plant and seed meals: alfalfa meal, non-GMO soybean meal, and neem and karanja seed cake meal. These release nitrogen gradually as microbes digest them, feeding steady leafy growth instead of a sudden surge.
Phosphorus (the P)
Comes from soft rock phosphate and fish bone powder, slow, mineral and bone-based sources that supply phosphorus for roots and blooms over a long window rather than all at once.
Potassium (the K)
Comes from potassium sulfate, kelp, and humates, supporting water regulation, strong cell walls, and overall resilience.
Calcium, magnesium and sulfur
Come largely from gypsum, plus fish bone powder and soft rock phosphate. These secondary nutrients are essential for cell structure and dozens of plant processes, and most conventional feeds leave them out.
Trace minerals (the micronutrients)
Zinc, copper, and manganese come from their sulfate forms, rounding out the full-spectrum diet. Kelp adds a broad range of additional trace elements from the sea.
Notice the pattern: almost everything is a food or a mineral that must be worked on by soil life before it becomes available. That is exactly why the feed is both complete and gentle.
The Ingredients That Feed the Soil, Not Just the Plant
A handful of ingredients are not there to feed the plant directly. They are there to build a living, working soil that keeps feeding your plant long after you put the food down.
Biochar acts like a coral reef for microbes, a porous carbon structure that gives beneficial organisms a place to live and holds onto nutrients and moisture. Humates add stable humus that improves structure and nutrient holding. A dedicated microbe blend introduces the beneficial life that does the actual work of releasing nutrients. Yucca extract is a natural wetting agent that helps water move evenly through the soil. And malted barley brings natural enzymes into the mix.

What Are Auxins, and How Do They Work?
Nutrients feed a plant. Hormones tell it what to do. Auxins are the most important of those hormones, and they are worth understanding.
An auxin is a natural plant growth hormone (the main one is called indole-3-acetic acid, or IAA). Plants make it in their growing tips, the very ends of shoots, and move it downward through the plant. Wherever it goes, it issues instructions. Here is what those instructions do.
Cell elongation
Auxin loosens the walls of young cells so they can take up water and stretch. This is how stems and shoots physically lengthen and grow.
Root initiation
Auxin is the signal that tells a plant to grow new roots, including brand new roots from a cutting. This is exactly why commercial rooting hormones are made from synthetic auxins: they are copying what the plant already does naturally.
Apical dominance
Auxin from the top shoot suppresses the side buds below it, keeping the plant growing upward. When you pinch or prune that top tip, you remove the auxin source and the plant bushes out. That is the science behind pinching.
Bending toward light and gravity
Auxin gathers on the shaded side of a stem and the lower side of a root, driving the growth that turns shoots toward light and sends roots downward.

The Kelp Connection: Why We Use Ecklonia Maxima
Here is where our ingredient list and the science meet. The sea kelp in Grow Queen is Ecklonia maxima, a brown seaweed harvested off the coast of South Africa, and it is one of the only seaweeds on earth naturally rich in auxins.
What makes it special is the balance. Ecklonia maxima contains a naturally high ratio of auxins to cytokinins, roughly 350 to 1, which is unusual among seaweeds. Auxins drive root development, so that lopsided, auxin-heavy profile is part of why this kelp is so good at encouraging strong, expansive root systems. Research has even found natural Ecklonia maxima extract more effective than synthetic auxin at promoting both shoot and root growth in young plants.
Because those hormones are delicate, how the kelp is processed matters. Grow Queen uses a cold process designed to preserve the natural auxins, cytokinins, and other bioactive compounds rather than cooking them out.
